The 4 day Inca Trail hike begins with a 5:30 a.m. pickup at your hotel. We will drive from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, and then on to Km 82. There, we will register for the Classic Inca Trail and meet the staff who will accompany us on the trek. Then, we will hike for two hours until we reach our first Inca site: Willca Raccay and Patallacta, an ancient Inca checkpoint en route to Machu Picchu. From Patallacta, it’s another two-hour hike to our lunch stop. After lunch, we will hike for two and a half more hours until we reach our campsite for the first night in Ayapata, which is at an elevation of 10,830 feet. On this last stretch, we will pass through two small communities. You can buy energy drinks, snacks, and other essential items, such as batteries, there. We'll arrive at the campsite. After settling in, you can relax with your team of porters, chef, and guide while enjoying a hot drink and snack. Dinner will be ready by 7:00 p.m., after which you can get some well-deserved rest.
