In Peru, demonstrations and protests often occur throughout the country as a response to local labor or social issues. National strikes can be called on short notice and can cause disruptions to road travel, potentially resulting in unavoidable itinerary changes. However, Machu Picchu T & Machu PicchuT does its best to minimize such impacts and either avoid any additional costs that may arise or keep them to a minimum. Nevertheless, we are not liable for circumstances beyond our control. For that reason, we advise travelers to Peru to have an emergency fund for such unpredictable situations.

VISA and passport: You may be required to obtain a travel visa. A valid passport with a minimum of 6 months of validity is also required to enter Peru. For updated information, contact your local embassy or consulate, or alternatively your travel agent.
